GIVEN THE RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE REGION, THE TOTAL FIRE BAN ISSUED MAY 5th 2016 HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF KAPASIWIN EFFECTIVE MAY 21st 2016, 12:00 NOON. THE FIRE BAN IN PARKLAND COUNTY HAS ALSO BEEN LIFTED. AS ALWAYS COUNCIL URGES CAUTION WHEN STARTING AND WHILE ENJOYING A FIRE. PLEASE STAY POSTED FOR FURTHER CHANGES TO THE FIRE BAN STATUS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER.

Please note that during the November 24th 2016 Regular Meeting Council passed Motion #114-16 which revised Policy 2015-1 (Meeting Procedure Policy). This revision allows the draft minutes of a meeting to be posted online. The draft minutes will be posted within ten business days of the meeting and will remain on the website until the approved meeting minutes are available to replace them. The minutes are found under the Council Minutes tab with the most recent minutes and draft minutes toward the bottom of the list.
FOOTPATH INFORMATION FROM THE AIM
To help facilitate the continued discussion on the Footpath Easement associated with many of the properties in the Village, Council circulated a Message to the Villagers on this topic during the 2016 Annual Information Meeting. Council's message is attached below for reference. Also attached is a memo prepared by Denny Thomas which is referenced in Council's message and gives additional context to the discussion.
